- Shri Ganesh visited Haridwar in 1814. Marching there, together with a group of 30 people, they crossed the river Satluj near "Nawan Shahar". They then went on to cross the river Yamuna near "Tajewala" and from there on through dense forest to their ultimate destination. Out of the group of 30 who arrived in Haridwar - after marching for two months - five individuals could not survive their return journey back home.
