She moved permanently to India in November 1959 after an arduous journey that took her all the way from Reutlingen in Germany to Kanpur in India – via train, ship, bus and rickshaw! There she married her now deceased husband, Mr. Brij Mohan Lal (Original family name = Sharma) on the 23rd of December, 1959. Born a German, she mastered the very challenging life in India over a period of 50 years. Rooted in India, she maintains constant contact with her relatives in Germany and elsewhere.
Her memory and written documents have served us well in enhancing the content of this website. |
